You can also stay at one of the local caravan sites if you’d rather camp under the stars. Additionally, you have Eryri, which also boasts an International Dark Sky Reserve status. If you go into the mountain peaks, or if you go to the beach of the Llŷn Peninsula, you’ll notice that you have an unobstructed view of the night sky. 

Of course, if you don’t feel as though you want to travel, or if you want to get a more local experience then you can stargaze from your own home. Simply venture out at night, when the skies are clear and you’ll have a clear view from almost anywhere in Flintshire. This is a great starting point for those who might be new to stargazing. If you want to get the best experience, there is no need for you to buy an expensive telescope. You can study the moon with a pair of binoculars, as long as you stay away from any harsh street lighting.

You also need to make sure that there are no trees in the way. If you can ensure this, you may be able to get a clear view of Saturn on certain nights. Follow updates from the weather channels to find out how clear the skies are going to be, so you can get an idea of how good your view of the stars is going to be
