Police seize drugs and weapons in Shotton raid

Two people have been arrested following a police raid at a property in Shotton, where weapons, cash, and suspected class A and B drugs were seized.
The operation, carried out by the Flintshire North Neighbourhood Policing Team, took place on Thursday, January 9, as part of ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related crime in the area.
A 27-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman were taken into custody on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs, possession of offensive weapons, and offences related to the proceeds of crime.
Sergeant David Smith, from North Flintshire Police, emphasised the link between drug supply and violent crime, saying:
“Drug supply leads to criminal activity, especially serious and violent crime, which causes misery and fear in our communities.
“If you have information into the supply of drugs in your area, please get in touch so we can continue to take action.”
Residents with information about drug-related activity are encouraged to report it via the police website, by calling 101, or anonymously through the independent charity CrimeStoppers.
