Police confirm two missing boys who were last seen in Shotton have now been located

North Wales Police have confirmed that two boys who were reported missing in the early hours of today have been safely located.
The boys, aged 11 and 12, were last seen near Rowley’s Drive, Shotton, shortly after midnight, prompting a large-scale search effort.
The police launched an appeal earlier this morning, urging the public to help trace the missing boys.
The search included assistance from the Coastguard and the RNLI, with a Coastguard helicopter spotted flying low over Shotton and Connah’s Quay overnight.
Flint Lifeboat was also deployed at around 2am from Dock Road as part of the operation.
North Flintshire Police addressed public concerns over the extensive emergency presence in the area, stating, “There’s been some community concern regarding the RNLI and Coastguard presence in Deeside. They were assisting in the search of high-risk missing persons. They have been seen this morning.”
In an update just after 10am, North Wales Police announced that both boys had been found safe. “Thank you to those who shared our appeal to trace Reggie and Jayden. They have been safely located,” the police confirmed.
