North Wales Police seek CCTV after thefts from cars in Penymynydd

North Wales Police are investigating a series of thefts from cars in the Penymynydd area overnight (Tuesday, January 7) and are appealing to residents for information and CCTV footage to assist their enquiries.
Reports have been received of a person attempting to open car doors and entering insecure vehicles, stealing items from inside.
Confirmed locations so far include Hazel Drive, Penymynydd Road, and Melwood Close.
Police are urging residents to check their vehicles for signs of tampering or theft and to report any incidents to help create an accurate picture of the situation.
This will allow officers to focus their resources where they are most needed.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “If you have any CCTV or Ring doorbell footage that could help us identify the suspect, please contact us using the link below and quote incident number C002870.”
Residents can report incidents by calling 101, using the North Wales Police webchat service, or by visiting the force’s website.
Local residents are being reminded to ensure their cars are locked and valuables are removed or hidden to deter potential thieves.
