Cheshire M6 southbound: 90-minute delays after vehicle overturns

Motorists are facing severe delays of up to 90 minutes on the M6 in Cheshire after an overturned vehicle led to the closure of two lanes in both directions between Junction 18 (Holmes Chapel) and Junction 17 (Sandbach).

Emergency services are at the scene, and recovery efforts are underway to clear the vehicle and reopen the affected lanes.

Drivers are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys, with congestion building in the area.

National Highways has advised travellers to re-route or delay their journeys where possible.
