Hot chocolate lovers are in for a festive treat as Broughton Shopping Centre launches a competition to find the ultimate Christmas flavour.

lucky winner will have their dream creation served up at the centre just in time for the festive season.

The competition, in partnership with Donut Theatre, invites participants to submit their most creative and delicious flavour ideas.

The winning hot chocolate will be available to shoppers throughout December, adding an extra sprinkle of holiday magic to their visits.

“Whether you’re dreaming of a white chocolate base, candy cane toppings, or a dash of cinnamon, this is your chance to make your festive flavour fantasies a reality,” said Alan Pruden-Barker, Centre Manager at Broughton.

Festive Giving

Donut Theatre will donate 50p from every limited-edition hot chocolate sold to local charities, ensuring the initiative spreads holiday cheer beyond the centre.

Jo Khanna, owner of Donut Theatre, expressed her enthusiasm for the project: “We’re thrilled to be part of Broughton’s festive celebrations and can’t wait to see the creative suggestions from our customers. We’re looking forward to bringing the winning flavour to life for everyone to enjoy this Christmas.”

Building on Success

The competition follows Broughton’s summer initiative, where four-year-old Isla Hughes created a winning ice cream flavour inspired by strawberry jelly and ice cream.

“There’s no denying hot chocolate is a festive favourite,” said Alan.

“We’re excited to offer our shoppers something special this December, making their visit even more memorable.”

To enter, participants should email their flavour ideas and a short explanation of why their creation deserves to win to [email protected] by 20th November.

Entries will be judged on creativity and taste appeal, with the winner announced soon after.
