Ten charged in Denbighshire and Cheshire drug operation

Ten people have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs following a series of police raids across Denbighshire, Conwy, and Cheshire.
Officers from the Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU), with support from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit, Cheshire Constabulary, and North Wales Police’s drone and dog units, executed 13 warrants on Tuesday 18 February as part of an ongoing investigation.
A substantial quantity of Class A and B drugs, cash, imitation firearms, and other property were seized during the operation.
The individuals charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis, as well as conspiracy to produce cannabis, appeared before Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning. They are:
Jake Thomas Kiernan, 32, of Clos Elwy, Towyn
Melanie Sandra Kiernan, 49, of Clos David Owen, Rhuddlan
James Kiernan, 47, of Whitby Road, Ellesmere Port
Nicholas Reynolds, 53, of Clos David Owen, Rhuddlan
Jamie John Steele, 32, of Bridge Street, Rhyl
Danielle Steele, 29, of Vale View Terrace, Rhyl
Ryan Potts, 30, of Clos Elwy, Towyn
Clair Rose Essery, 44, of Maes Glas, Denbigh
Charlie Thorley, 25, of Nant Hall Road, Prestatyn
Clint Woodcock, 44, of Kings Avenue, Rhyl
All ten have been remanded into custody and are set to appear at Mold Crown Court on 21 March.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “This operation is part of our ongoing efforts to tackle serious and organised crime in our communities. We remain committed to disrupting the supply of illegal drugs and bringing those responsible to justice.”
