DAN 24/7 The Wales Drug & Alcohol Helpline hosted by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has sent out a warning on its Facebook page about a strong batch of heroin, in an update this afternoon they say:

‘IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

There has been a strong batch of heroin reported in the Deeside area. Take precautions where you can, don’t inject alone (so that someone can summon help if you need it) and think about naloxone training.

You can get naloxone from your local drug project – it’s a life saver!

Tell your mates, family etc about naloxone too. Carry it with you at all times. To find your local drug project you can call us 24/7 on 0808 808 2234 or go to our webpage ‘DAN24/7 services’.”
