Driver arrested in North Flintshire after Class A drugs and weapons found

Police have arrested a driver after allegedly discovering Class A drugs and weapons in their vehicle during a routine stop in North Flintshire.
The arrest was made on Thursday as part of the ongoing ‘Operation Restore’ initiative, aimed at tackling crime and improving safety across the region.
Officers became suspicious after noticing the vehicle speeding. After stopping to speak with the driver, they discovered the individual was already wanted for other offences.
Further investigation revealed a quantity of drugs and weapons inside the vehicle.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of multiple alleged offences, including the possession of illegal substances and weapons.
An image posted on the North Flintshire Police Facebook page shows a number of bladed items including knives a large meat cleaver, a machete-like tool and a taser amid evidence bags.
North Flintshire Police said in a post on social media:
“We spotted a vehicle going a bit too fast. They just happened to stop in town, so we went for a chat.
“Turned out the driver was wanted for some offences already. They’ve now been arrested for quite a few more, having been found in possession of Class A and a number of weapons in the vehicle.
“Oh dear, this one will likely stay with us for breakfast!
“They have been arrested for:
“2 x Disqualified driving (already wanted for a previous)
“2 x Driving with no insurance (already wanted for a previous)
“1 x Failing to stop (already wanted for a previous)
“3 x Possession of a bladed article
“1 x Possession of an offensive weapon (which was changed to a firearms offence in custody, as we believe it’s a taser)
“1 x Possession of Class A.
(The vehicle was also seized.)
