Deeside Sixth Nomads Scholar Captain’s Welsh Team

Deeside Sixth and Nomads scholar, Conor Harwood will Captain the Welsh Colleges U18s team in their next game against England Colleges.

Welsh Colleges Football provides both international football and coach education pathways for male and female students in FE Colleges in Wales.

Conor, 17 from Ellesmere Port who is studying A Levels at Deeside Sixth Form Centre also plays for gap Connah’s Quay, joining the Nomads’ academy at U15s level.  

Conor who will also be playing in Rome in an International tournament said:

“It’s an absolute pleasure to be Captain for the Welsh Colleges team.  I’ve represented the team last year but it will be a great experience for me to Captain the squad.”

Head of Deeside Sixth Form Centre, Alex Thomas added:

“We are all very proud of Conor, his football success and all his hard work, we wish him well in his role as Captain and look forward to hearing the result.
