Broughton Shopping Park has launched its annual Christmas Toys and Tins Appeal, inviting residents to nominate deserving local charities to benefit from this year’s campaign.

The appeal encourages visitors to donate new, unwrapped toys to ensure as many children as possible wake up to a gift on Christmas morning.

This year, Broughton is opening up nominations for local charities, allowing residents to suggest additional causes that could benefit from the appeal.

Those wishing to nominate a charity can do so by emailing details to [email protected] for consideration.

Alan Pruden-Barker, Broughton’s centre manager, expressed enthusiasm for this year’s appeal, remarking, “We were blown away by the generosity of our visitors during the festive season last year, with hundreds of toys and food cupboard essentials donated to help those most in need. Our local community means so much to us, so we’re proud to bring back the appeal this year. I have no doubt our customers will rally around to support, as they always do.”

In partnership with Dee Radio in Chester, the Toys and Tins Appeal will run through 22nd December.

Visitors to Broughton Shopping Park can drop off donations in the collection box located outside Costa Coffee.

Last year’s campaign was a resounding success, with hundreds of toys donated by park visitors, helping to make the festive season brighter for countless families in need.

For further information on how to participate, donate, or nominate, visit Broughton Shopping Park’s website or the Dee Radio appeal page which can be found here.
