Three in custody following Saltney ‘hit and run’ which left a young boy seriously injured

Police have confirmed that three people are in custody following a hit and run collision which left a 10 year old boy seriously injured.

In an update this morning police say the 23-year-old driver, a 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman are currently in custody assisting police with inquiries.

The boy hit by the car remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The collision happened on Park Avenue in Saltney just after 4.15pm, when a grey Ford Fiesta collided with the boy and failed to stop.

The vehicle has been located and will be forensically examined.

Anyone with information relating to the collision is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting reference X002696.
