Public urged to remain vigilant after elderly couple targeted by “professional pickpockets’ in Wrexham

Members of the public are being urged to remain vigilant and to keep their bags closed and items of value out of sight following multiple reports of pickpocketing in the town centre.

An elderly man and woman have been targeted in separate incidents today, with police saying that “large sums” of money were stolen.

North Wales Police issued the above images of the suspects who have been targetting shoopers in thew town. 

PC Thomas Hough said: “Several reports of pick pocketing in the @wrexham town centre this afternoon, officers have been out and in the process of obtaining CCTV and accounts.

“Please be aware and keep your property secure this time of year, don’t become a target for thieves.”

Police are also urging shoppers to keep their bags closed and wallets / purses out of sight.

Any witness or information about suspicious behaviour in town can be be reported via the North Wales Police online webchat system.
