Police drugs dogs patrol pubs in Buckley and Mold

Over recent weeks, North Wales Police (NWP) officers have been patrolling pubs in the Buckley and Mold areas accompanied by trained drugs dogs.
The initiative, which involved collaboration with the local licensing officer, aimed to target illegal drug activity within licensed premises.
According to NWP South Flintshire, licensees at all the premises visited were supportive of the operation.
As a result, several individuals were stop-searched and dealt with for the possession of illegal drugs.
The presence of the dogs also appeared to cause some patrons to leave venues abruptly, police said.
Officers noted this behaviour with humour, saying, “Maybe they’re afraid of dogs! Hopefully when we visit next time, they’ll stick around and see how friendly our dogs can be.”
North Wales Police thanked the community and licensees for their cooperation and emphasised their ongoing commitment to maintaining safety in the area.
