Man arrested following spate of arson attacks overnight in Flintshire

Police say they have arrested a 26 year old man from Holywell following a spate of car fires overnight in Flintshire.

The unnamed man has been arrested on suspicion of five counts of arson he was also arrested on suspicion serious assault and assaulting an emergency worker.

Fire crews from Deeside, Holywell and Flint tackled a five deliberate car car fires from 10pm and into the early hours of today, Thursday 27 December.

Three cars in Holywell were set alight while two cars in Bagillt were set on fire, all but one was destroyed.
