Lorry attacked by stone throwing gang of youths in Ewloe

Police are looking for a group of ‘youths’ who threw stones and bricks at a moving lorry damaging the windscreen of the vehicle.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning as the lorry was travelling along Liverpool Road in Ewloe heading towards Buckley.

The group of between 8 and 10 youths were seen walking along the pavement in the direction of Chester police say, they threw what the driver describes as bricks and stones at the lorry causing damage to the front windscreen, it happened at around 4.10am on Saturday March 19th.

Despite the damage to the lorry’s windscreen the driver continued along Liverpool Road where nearly 200 metres further up two large boulders had been put in the road, the lorry drove over them.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the group or anything suspicious in the area around that time
