Earlier report:Traffic through Shotton is still very heavy following a lorry strike on Shotton train bridge earlier. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

The HGV appears to have been travelling along Chester Road East from the Connah’s Quay direction towards Queensferry when it struck the bridge. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Train services have been disrupted due to the bridge strike as engineers from Network Rail will need to assess the bridge for damage. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​
