Magnitude 2 earthquake in Rhos on Sea recorded on Monday evening
Update:
The British Geological Society have confirmed this morning the location of the minor earthquake felt in parts of north Wales last night.
The epicentre of the magnitude 2 earthquake which was felt around 9.40pm on Monday was Tan-y-Bryn Road in Rhos on Sea, about 50 metres from the Rhos on Sea Hickory’s Smokehouse.
A small earthquake shook parts of North Wales this evening around 10:42pm.
Several people tweeted and posted on Facebook about the tremor with reports ranging from Snowdonia up to Llandudno and across to Rhyl.
Currently there is no formal data on the British Geographical Survey however such minor quakes are usually logged after the information is processed.
