Flintshire North Police have released details of their activities over the weekend, reporting 104 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning.

Among these were 22 ‘Priority 0’ incidents, which required urgent responses involving emergency lights and sirens.

Key Incidents and Arrests

The police team handled a variety of cases, including five domestic incidents, 14 concern-for-safety calls, and eight reports of anti-social behaviour.

Officers made eight arrests during the period, with charges ranging from burglary and stalking to threats to kill and breach of criminal behaviour orders.

Two individuals remain in custody as investigations continue.

Police highlighted domestic incidents as an ongoing priority, with arrests made in several cases to safeguard victims.

Burglaries in Holywell and Greenfield

Efforts to combat burglary in the Holywell and Greenfield areas were a focus over the weekend.

Two new “Burglary Other Than a Dwelling” (BOTD) cases were reported, typically involving thefts from sheds and garages.

Stolen items often include tools and garden equipment, causing distress to residents.

Community support proved instrumental in resolving one case, with CCTV footage leading to a suspect’s arrest.

Police are awaiting DNA, fingerprint, and shoe-print results to link suspects to other burglaries in the area.

SmartWater Initiative to Deter Crime

To prevent further thefts, the “We Don’t Buy Crime” team distributed crime prevention packs to affected residents.

These include SmartWater kits, a forensic tool allowing valuables to be marked with a unique identifier.

Items marked with SmartWater can be traced if recovered, aiding police in identifying offenders and returning stolen property to its owners.

Police also encouraged residents to report any suspicious sales of tools or garden equipment, particularly those with damaged or removed serial numbers.

PD Flo Tracks Down Suspect

Among the weekend’s standout moments was Police Dog Flo’s assistance in apprehending a suspect.

PD Flo successfully tracked down an individual hiding behind bins following a domestic disturbance.

Officers celebrated her sharp instincts with the tagline, #TheNoseKnows.

As part of their ongoing engagement with the community, Flintshire North Police reminded residents to remain vigilant. They urged the public to report any suspicious activity to help deter crime and maintain a safer environment for everyone.
