Flintshire County Council: Cold Caller Warning

Flintshire Trading Standards have been informed of a number attempts by a cold caller to get residents to provide personal information such as banking details.

Residents have received a cold call by telephone from a man claiming to be from Flintshire County Council’s Road Traffic Management Team claiming the resident had contacted the Council about a recent road traffic accident.

The residents contacted had not been involved in any accidents and when challenged the caller put the phone down.

Flintshire County Council are not making these calls and if you receive such a call our advice is to not give the caller any information and to end the telephone call immediately.
