2018 has been a momentous year for Deeside Synchronised Ice Skating Club.

The club finished last season off in fine style placed 4th in the UK, with this season already starting to eclipse that of last.

With the Deelites already holding a superb Silver from London and a Gold to become Welsh Champions in their class for a second year running with the highest score of the weekend.

Not to be outclassed, the younger team, the Angels, raised their game to show they can compete with the best with a fantastic Bronze in London and a Bronze in Cardiff securing Welsh Champions in their class.

The Clubs success didn’t stop there, being invited to compete in the Wintercup in Belgium in the Clubs first European international, both teams having to step up a category to compete.

This didn’t stop, only inspired the teams to deliver and deliver they did as both teams secured fourth spot against some of the best teams in Europe.

Now the Deelites and Angels are looking forward to 2019 with promise and hope to rise the bar at the British in late January.

Darell Jones, chairperson  said:

“It’s an amazing club with some fantastic young talent and a very welcoming and open environment for all to join, progress and make friends for life. I’d like to also thank Aura for their continued support”
