Residents in Chevrons Road in Higher Shotton and surrounding areas of Shotton, Queensferry and Sandycroft are currently facing water supply disruptions due to a burst main.

The issue is causing low water pressure or no water for some households in the area.

Welsh Water has said repairs are underway, and full restoration of the water supply is expected by late afternoon.

Welsh Water’s website states: “Until the pipe is fixed, you may experience low pressure or no water.”

“We expect all supplies to be fully restored by later afternoon.”

“As a general rule, it should take about 5 seconds to fill a pint glass from the cold water tap in your kitchen.”

“If you can run your cold kitchen tap, this will also help to clear any discolouration in your supply.”
