Deeside MP pays visit to specialist accommodation providers First Choice Housing

Mark Tami, MP for Alyn & Deeside has visited a supported living home in Deeside for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Mark Tami MP visited the property run by First Choice Housing Association with Councillor Ian Dunbar.

The housing association provides specialist accommodation for vulnerable and disabled people.

 

Mark Tami MP, ‘It was great to be given the opportunity to see the accommodation by First Choice Housing Association and the difference that these houses are making to peoples lives.’

First Choice create an environment where vulnerable people can enjoy a high quality home and services locally at a lower cost than traditional residential services or out of area placements.

Working across Wales and Shropshire in partnership with 18 Local Authorities, the association provides high quality, bespoke homes tailored to suit the needs of individuals. The association currently own 204 properties which provide homes to more than 617 individuals.

Hilary Ryan, chief executive at First Choice, said:

“Our aim is to deliver well-designed homes in which people with a range of disabilities are enabled to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
