Collision closes Wepre Lane in Connah’s Quay

Emergency services have been dealing with a collision on Wepre Lane this morning.

The accident happened at around 8.25am when blue Ford is believed to have collided with a stationary Vauxhall Astra at the bottom of Wepre Hill.

Firefighters were called to the collision after the Ford burst into flames.

We have been told Police have cordoned off the road which is closed to traffic.

One eye witness said the young male driver of the blue Ford appeared to be unhurt but was in shock.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service say they sent one pump from Deeside fire station was called to the scene.

Crews used one hose reel and breathing apparatus to put out the fire.
