Chester: Vicious attack in Handbridge – Police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Handbridge, Chester.

A 38-year-old local man was chased along Queens Park View and then beaten in the front garden of a house.

He was attacked with a hammer and metal pole, resulting in injuries to his head and arms.

The incident occurred at 2.50pm on Friday, February 20 on Percy Road at its junction with Queens Park View.

DC Kevin Green said:

“This was an isolated incident and very much out of character for the area. Needless to say we are treating this seriously and would urge anyone with information, or who saw anything, to contact us.”
