A CCTV camera has been installed outside the Village Hall in Mancot in an effort to stop youngsters from causing trouble.

The camera was installed by North Wales Police following concerns raised by residents about anti-social behaviour in the area.

In addition to the CCTV camera, North Wales Police has also installed anti-vandal paint on some of the walls in the area in an effort to deter youths from climbing on them.

PCSO Gareth Price said: “We’ve been having issues with youths causing issues on Mancot Lane.

“I’m happy to announce that I’ve managed to get a CCTV camera put up outside the Village Hall so hopefully this will deter these kids from causing problems.

“My inspector has also managed to get some anti-vandal paint so that shall be going up on set places to stop these kids climbing on things they shouldn’t.

“If you have any information about anti-social behaviour in Mancot Lane, please email me on [email protected].

“I would also urge you to speak with your neighbours and relatives about signing up to the community alert system. If they are interested, give them my email address and I’ll happily sign them up.”

If you see any anti-social behaviour in Mancot Lane, please report it to the police.
