Buckley Town Football Club has signed a new kit deal with Staffordshire-based TAG Sportswear Ltd which will see playing/training kit and leisurewear provided.

Over 400 players and coaches at the club will benefit from the new kit deal, which lasts for at least the next three years and concludes a process which started last year.

Buckley Town FC Kit Officer, Richard Hogg, said: “We started the process last year as we wanted to make sure we had time to look at all the available options. With a new club badge on the way, and having been with our previous supplier for over ten years, we felt there was a duty to test the market.”

Ten suppliers were invited to submit proposals, and from a subsequent shortlist of three, TAG Sportswear Ltd offered the best combination of quality and price.

The club is now working closely with TAG Sportswear to get ready for next season.

Tony Footitt, from TAG Sportswear Ltd, said: “The design we have come up with for Buckley Town Football Club is unique, and while there is a perception that bespoke designs are costly, with Buckley this wasn’t the case as we were awarded the contract on both quality and price.

“We’re excited to be working with Buckley Town Football Club as this is our first major club in North Wales.”

Dan Moore, Buckley Town FC’s First Team Manager, said: “Despite the effects of the pandemic, it’s been a really busy time at the club. We merged our Junior and Senior sections, giving a development path from the under-5s mini-kickers through to the Senior First Team, we’ve announced a major commitment to grow the female game within the club, with the help of our local community we now have a brand-new club logo, and we’re revealing this spectacular new kit which will be worn across the whole club.

“There’s lots of doom and gloom around at the moment, so having an exciting new kit to look forward to is a real boost for everyone involved with the club. It’s another big step forward for Buckley Town Football Club.”

Work is now underway to secure sponsorship for the next three years under the ‘Back the Bucks’ campaign.
