Aldi is calling all wine lovers to a unique tasting opportunity, with the return of its Wine Club now open for applications.

The supermarket giant is on the hunt for thirty enthusiasts eager to dive into its new range of wines, promising a delightful journey through its Spring Summer selection – all for free.

The initiative offers a select group the chance to sample three bottles from Aldi’s upcoming wine collection, set to hit the shelves on 18th March.

In exchange, participants are asked to share their genuine thoughts on each wine across social media platforms, tagging their posts with the #AldiWineClub hashtag to spread the word about their tasting experiences.

Julie Ashfield, Aldi UK’s Managing Director of Buying, expressed enthusiasm for the program, stating, “We embrace the opportunity to gather feedback from our trusted shoppers. It helps the buying team shape wine ranges into what they are – great tasting, award-winning, delivering on both quality and price. We look forward to welcoming the next thirty Aldi Wine Club members on board.”

To ensure participants can fully appreciate and evaluate the wines like experts, Mistress of Wine Sam Caporn has shared her top tips for wine tasting.

Her guidance includes the five S’s: See, Swirl, Sniff, Sip, and Savour, offering a simple yet effective method to uncover the complexities and delights each wine presents.

For those interested in joining this exclusive club, the application process is straightforward. Prospective members are required to send an email to [email protected] with their full name, proof of age, social media handles and follower count, along with 150 words on why they should be selected. Additionally, applicants are asked to share their favourite Aldi wine and the reasons behind their choice.

The window for applications is open until Monday, 4th March, with full terms and conditions available on the Aldi Wine Club webpage.
