Update: Man Dies following a serious road traffic collision on the A55 in Flintshire.

A man has died after his car crashed into the back of a lorry in a layby on the A55 in Flintshire

The incident happened at around 4.15pm today Thursday August 15, when a grey Nissan Almeria collided with a blue Scania lorry in a layby on the westbound carriageway of the A55 between junction 32 and junction 33 at Northop Hall.

The crash caused major delays around the area with traffic quickly backing up along the westbound carriageway through Deeside,

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident .

Anyone with information is asked to contact the North Wales Police roads policing team on 101.
