Merry Christmas and thank you from Deeside.com

Christmas Day is with us once again, and as many of us spend time with family and friends we’d just like to say thanks.
December 25 is just another day for our emergency services, fire, police and ambulance personnel who will be on duty today as they are 365 days of the year. Thank you one and all.
Thanks also to NHS staff working in hospitals and on call and those who work in the private care sector.
Also, the volunteer rescue teams such as NEWSAR, the North East Wales Search and Rescue Team who are on call 24 hours a day as is the Flint based HM Coastguard and the RNLI Flint Lifeboat.
And thanks to the many others such as council workers and utilities engineers who will be on call during the festive period gritting roads (if needed!) and keeping the power on.
We’d like to thank you, our readers, for your continued support over the past 12 months.
Thank you for being with us in 2018, without your story submissions, tweets, tip-offs, and general ‘banter’ (don’t mention Brexit!) we would struggle to exist.
From the humble beginnings of a Twitter account just a few years ago to a fully fledged website which now sees nearly 90,000 regular visitors read over 700,000 pages per month –
For Deeside.com, 2018 has been one heck of a journey which will continue at pace into 2019.
All that’s left is to wish you a very Merry Christmas – and a happy New Year.
