Ewloe based Redrow appoint ex chair of the BBC Sir Michael Lyons to its board
Ewloe based householder Redrow plc has announced the appointment of Sir Michael Lyons as a Non-Executive Director.
Sir Michael recently chaired the Lyons Housing Commission to produce a road map for increasing housebuilding in this country.
He is also Chairman of the English Cities Fund created by Government to promote sustainable urban regeneration as well as Chairman of SQW Group and a strategic adviser to CBRE.
Prior to this, following a long and distinguished career in local government, Sir Michael completed a four year term as Chairman of the BBC, and was a Non-Executive Director of Mouchel plc.
Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Steve Morgan said:

His extensive knowledge and understanding of the housebuilding sector and large scale sustainable regeneration will be extremely useful for the business, as will his many years of experience in local government, running some of the country’s largest local authorities.”
