The Red Arrows are back at Hawarden over the bank holiday weekend as the Royal Air Force aerobatic team base themselves at Hawarden airport ahead of their Rhyl Airshow display.

Flight plans filed by the team show the ‘Reds’ arriving at Hawarden on Sunday 28th August at 3.03pm.

The world famous red BAE Systems Hawk T1 jets will then get a thorough check over by the ten aircraft engineering technicians who will fly with the pilots to Hawarden.

The jets will then leave Hawarden at 5.18pm on Sunday en route to the Rhyl Airshow for a 5.30pm display.

The aerobatic team will then fly back into Hawarden landing at 5.59pm.

On bank holiday Monday the pilots are back in the cockpits to fire up the engines for a 11.14am departure as they head off to Newquay.

As always times and plans do change at short notice mainly due to weather conditions.
