Employees at Airbus in Broughton have responded to a call for help from the Flintshire Foodbank and collected 386kg of food which will help support people in crisis across the county.

High demand for its services meant that reserves at the charity were running low, and so they turned to one of the area’s biggest employers for help.

UK Charity Campaign Manager for Airbus, Phil McGraa said:

“Once we heard about the Flintshire Foodbank’s issues, we were happy to assist by putting collections points at various places around the site.

“As always, the people at Broughton have stepped up to the plate, and the 386kg will undoubtedly help boost their reserves.”

Catherine Davies of Flintshire Foodbank said:

“We are very grateful to the employees of Airbus at Broughton for responding so generously and we will put the food donated to a very good use for people in crisis across Flintshire.”
