Woman injured in two car collision on A55 near Northop Hall

Cars heading along the A55 eastbound into Deeside have been stuck in queuing traffic this morning following a two vehicle collision near J33A Northop and J34 Ewloe Loop.

White Toyota Yaris and Black Ford Fiesta are believed to have collided.

Queuing traffic:

Lane one of the eastbound carriageway has been blocked after the crash, with some traffic diverted to the B5125 – an ambulance rapid response car and emergency ambulance were sent to the incident.

A Wales Ambulance Service spokesperson said;

“We were called at 8.19am to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A55 near Northop Hall. We sent a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a woman was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”

Traffic Wales reported the lane clear at 9:45am
