RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a body of a dead dog was found near Deeside Leisure Centre in Queensferry.

The sad discovery was made by a member of the public yesterday Thursday, 3 September just inside the perimeter fence near the sports centre, and they then contacted the RSPCA.

RSPCA inspector Tim Jones said:

“The dog – a brindle, white staffy – had marks around his neck and muzzle. But the cause of death is unknown.

“The dog was microchipped and we were able to track down the owner who was understandably very upset.

“The dog – known as Denzil – had ran off on Wednesday and had been ok then.

“We just don’t know what happened to Denzil after that, so if anyone has any information please can they ring our inspectorate line on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.”

If you would like to help the RSPCA, you can give £3 now by texting HELP to 78866 (text costs £3 + one standard network rate message). We are a charity and rely on public donations to exist.
