RNLI Flint call for volunteers to assist in its fundraising activities
The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) in Flint is reaching out to the local community with an appeal for volunteers to assist in its fundraising activities.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to support the charity’s critical life-saving services along the North Wales coast.
The fundraising team at Flint RNLI plays a pivotal role in supporting the organisation, which relies heavily on dedicated volunteers.
Remarkably, 95% of RNLI personnel are volunteers, whose commitment and efforts are essential to maintaining the charity’s lifesaving operations.
This Saturday, 27th January, the Flint lifeboat station will open its doors to potential volunteers from 10 am to 12 noon.
The team is inviting interested individuals to join them for an informal meeting, offering a warm cup of tea, biscuits, and an opportunity to discuss what volunteering for the RNLI entails.
The RNLI’s vital work is heavily dependent on these fundraising efforts.
Without the support of volunteers, who organise activities and events to raise essential funds, the RNLI would not be able to operate effectively.
These funds are crucial in ensuring that the lifeboat crews are well-equipped and trained to respond to emergencies at sea.
For more information, Flint RNLI encourages potential volunteers to visit their station this Saturday or contact them directly.
