Police appeal for witnesses following two car crash on A55 near Northop

Police are appealing for witnesses following a two-car collision on the A55 in the Northop area.

The collision happened at around 6.45pm on the eastbound carriageway at junction 33.

Police say officers were pursuing the vehicle when it collided with a second vehicle

The incident prompted a large emergency service response and the eastbound carriageway was closed while the collision was dealt with.

Police also say the collision resulted in “minor injuries only.”

Two men have were arrested.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital suffering from shock.

The road was closed for around 6 hours, it reopened at midnight.

Witnesses are asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number X003656.
