The construction contractors at the Parc Adfer Energy Recovery Facility are holding a Jobs Fair to showcase employment opportunities during the three-year construction phase of the facility.

The event is being held on Tuesday 23rd May from 2pm to 7pm in the Conference Centre at Coleg Cambria.

Developer, Wheelabrator Technologies, has appointed CNIM as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor who in turn has appointed Clugston Construction to lead the civil engineering works.

CNIM and Clugston are managing the Jobs Fair and construction-related employment process.

It is anticipated that approximately 250 people will be employed on the site at the peak of the construction.

David Cinque, CNIM Vice President Projects, said:

As construction is now underway on the Wheelabrator Parc Adfer facility, we are holding a Jobs Fair which is an opportunity for local people to meet the contractors and find out more about the different jobs on offer.

We would like to hear from anyone interested in employment during the construction phase of the project, so please do come along and find out more. It’s free to attend and there is no need to register in advance.

Visitors are asked to bring their CVs, including contact details, to leave with exhibitors. For those not able to attend the Jobs Fair, CVs can also be submitted online at parcadferconstruction.co.uk

Operational recruitment will commence in 2018 and positions will be advertised locally, including through Job Centre Plus.

There will be around 35 new full-time operational vacancies when the Parc Adfer facility enters operations in 2019.
