The Nomads cruised past Aberystwyth Town on Sunday afternoon hitting four goals with no reply in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League.

Matty Williams opened the scoring for The Nomads, with a second half brace from Les Davies and goal from Shelton Payne securing the home win. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌

The fixture was significant for The Nomads, with a number of rival teams having already dropped points that weekend. The Nomads went into the game challenged by a big injury list which saw the likes of Ian Kearney, George Horan and Lewis Short all missing from the lineup. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌

Andy Morrison was forced to start a makeshift back four with John Disney and Jay Owen starting as centre half’s, Wes Baynes and Sean Smith the right and left wing backs.[/vc_column_text][mp_carousel_1 carousel_images=”38058,38059,38060,38061,38062,38063,38056″][vc_column_text]The Nomads immediately took control of the game early on having most of the possession. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌

On 20 minutes a Matty Williams’ shot took a deflection to loop keeper Richards giving Nomads a deserved lead. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌

Early in the second half an excellent cross from Tom Field found the head of Les Davies who scored from six yards out in the 47th minute. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌

Sub Shelton Payne opened his Nomads account on 67 minutes, when he cut in from the right wing to curl an effort into the top left corner of Aberystwyth’s goal via the post to give The Nomads a 3-0 lead. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌

Tom Field supplied Les Davies again in the final minute sending an aerial ball over for Davies’ who found the net with an impressive header from eight yards out. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌

The result sees Nomads still unbeaten after seven Dafabet Welsh Premier games and puts them second in the table. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌
