Man charged with manslaughter at Prestatyn station

Following the death of a man on a railway line in Prestatyn last year, a 48-year-old Manchester man has been charged with manslaughter.

Officers were called to the line near Prestatyn Golf Club at 5.10pm on 13 July 2022 following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics also attended, however a man, Keith Ford, aged 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Patrick Kennedy – of no fixed abode – is due to appear at Llandudno Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 3 January.

The family of Mr Ford are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers and has asked for privacy at this time.
