Flintshire Foodbank is asking local residents to help families in need by donating five essential items currently in short supply.

These items include pasta sauce, baked beans, tinned ready meals (such as stewed steak or curry), UHT semi-skimmed milk, and tinned vegetables.

Donations can be made directly to the foodbank’s warehouse at Raikes Lane in Mold or dropped off at designated supermarket collection points across the region.

The foodbank provides nutritionally balanced emergency food to people in crisis, such as those facing benefit delays, sudden job losses, or rising energy costs.

“We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry,”a spokesperson for Flintshire Foodbank stated.

For those unable to drop off food in person, there are alternative ways to give.

Supporters can make a donation via Paypal or purchase food items online through the foodbank’s Give Today page. The website has been updated to include high-demand Christmas items, helping the foodbank prepare for the festive season.
