Flint Coastguard called out in search for missing man in Queenferry

Flint Coastguard, Police and the Police helicopter were called into action just after midnight as they searched for a vulnerable male near the blue bridge at Queensferry.

The Flint-based Coastguard rescue team were paged by Holyhead Coastguard Operation Centre to assist North Wales Police with a search for the missing male who was threatening to self-harm, Rhyl Coastguard were also brought in to assist.

Once the Flint team were on scene a hasty search was carried out.NPAS 22 located male who was then taken into police care.

The Police helicopter however located male using the onboard thermal imaging camera, then male was taken into the care of North Wales Police.
