Easter toys recalled by Home Bargains over safety risk

Home Bargains has issued an urgent product recall for a range of Easter plush toys after safety concerns were raised about a serious risk of asphyxiation.

The 25cm soft toys — which come in three festive designs, ‘Yellow Chick’, ‘Pink Rabbit’ and ‘White Rabbit’ – have been withdrawn from sale and are being recalled with immediate effect.

The issue stems from weak seams, which can cause the limbs of the toys to detach easily. This makes the internal fibrous stuffing material accessible, posing a risk that young children could place it in their mouths and choke.

The toys in question bear the barcode 10811016, and customers who have purchased them are being urged to stop using them immediately and keep them out of reach of children.

Anyone affected is advised to return the toy to their nearest Home Bargains store for a full refund. Further information is available in-store or via the Home Bargains help centre.
