Parliament resumed last week after the summer recess period and Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, was raising awareness for their Wear it Pink campaign.

Wear it Pink is an annual campaign that usually raises around 2 million pound for the charity each year. The charity asks you to wear something pink on the 21st October and donate whatever you can.

Mark Tami joined the lobbyists in parliament last week and he had this to say.

[miptheme_quote author=”Mark Tami – Alyn & Deeside MP” style=”boxquote text-left”]Breast cancer can have a devastating effect on people’s lives and I know a number of people who have been affected by the illness. I am a big supporter of Breast Cancer Now as I am well aware of the fantastic work that they do. Wear it Pink is a great cause and it’s well worth dressing up and looking stupid for the day. This is a brilliant opportunity for the people of Alyn and Deeside to get involved and raise awareness and money for the charity.[/miptheme_quote]

The charity’s aim is to ensure no one dies from breast cancer by 2050.
