Call for Connah’s Quay residents to share memories and photographs for a new digital ‘trail’

A project to develop a ‘digital trail’ in Connah’s Quay is looking for local people from all walks of life to get involved.

The Our Back Yard project in Connah’s Quay is developing an i-beacon digital trail for the town and need as many people to contribute with their memories and photos.

The trail will include many areas of the town, looking at the industrial past, the natural environment and its’ heritage, it will also link with the River Dee and highlight open spaces such as Wepre Park, Central Park, Princess Park and Golftyn Park.

Sallyanne Hall from Our Back Yard said:

“If you have a story to tell about the town and it’s history; you like illustrating, film or photography; you enjoy writing; you know a lot about the wildlife; or you’re a dab hand with technology, there’s a role for you in the Connah’s Quay ibeacon community project.

The trail is being by developed along with the Quay Waterman’s Association and Connah’s Quay Town Council, they will be working with schools and communities to create this fantastic new app.

Drop in sessions for people to share their memories and photos and learn more about the project are being held at Connah’s Quay Library on Tuesday 27 th November 11am – 1pm and at Wepre Park Visitor Centre Tuesday 4 th December 11am – 2pm.
