Air Ambulance responds to medical emergency in Shotton

An air ambulance seen landing in Shotton earlier today was responding to a medical emergency, the Welsh Ambulance Service has said.

The distinctive red helicopter was seen landing on North Street playing fields just before midway.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said:

“We were called shortly before 11.30am today, Monday 29 March, to a medical emergency at an address in Shotton, Flintshire.”

“We sent a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, where crews were also supported by a Wales Air Ambulance.”

“One person was taken by road to the Countess of Chester Hospital.”
