Young boy airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following collision with a car

A young boy has been airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool with serious injuries following a collision with a car.

A car collided with the boy who was on a bike on the Coast Road in Mostyn.

An Air Ambulance landed on farmland close to A548 in Mostyn at 12.20pm.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said;

We were called at about 11.50am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on the Coast Road in Mostyn.

The Wales Air Ambulance, two paramedics in rapid response vehicles and a crew in an emergency ambulance are at the scene.

The spokesman later said;

A young boy has been airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool with serious injuries.
