Air Ambulance responds to medical emergency in Holywell
A Wales Air Ambulance was called to a medical emergency in Holywell this morning.
The distinctive red helicopter was seen landing on open ground close to Carmel Raod just after 11.30am.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 11am to Cresswell Rise, Holywell and responded with one Urgent Care Services vehicle, an Emergency Ambulance and an Air Ambulance.
One patient has been transported to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.”

Wales Air Ambulance is an all Wales charity providing emergency air cover for those who face life-threatening life illness or injuries.
The charity needs to raise £6.5 million every year to operate the service.
The charity raises all the funds required for the day-to-day running of missions, with each Ambulance on average costing £1500.
