Motorists using the A494 at Aston Hill eastbound are being advised to plan their journeys in advance due to scheduled parapet repairs to the Plough Lane Bridge.

The essential maintenance work will lead to a series of rolling roadblocks, potentially causing disruptions.

The repairs, as announced by Traffic Wales North & Mid on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, are set to take place from 8pm tonight.

Parapet repairs typically involve the restoration or replacement of the protective barrier on the side of a bridge, ensuring the safety of both motorists and pedestrians.

The use of rolling road blocks, while causing temporary disruptions, allows for safer and more efficient repair work, minimising the risk to repair crews.

Signs by the side of the road indicate there could be lane closures for up to 20 minutes at a time.

Traffic Wales North & Mid has urged those intending to travel on these dates to plan ahead and consider alternative routes or timings if possible.
