North Wales Police are working with landowners to address concerns over illegal off-road biking on Halkyn Mountain.

Officers have urged the public to report sightings as efforts continue to tackle the issue.

PCSO Hannah Taylor from the Neighbourhood Policing Team and PC Dave Allen from the Rural Crime Team recently met with Neil Thomas from Grosvenor Estates to discuss potential solutions.

The estate manages land on the mountain, where reports of unauthorised biking have raised safety and environmental concerns.

Further discussions are planned with Natural Resources Wales, which also has an interest in protecting the area.

In a statement, the police encouraged residents to report sightings with as much detail as possible, including the time, date, and location.

“Photographs can also be helpful if it is safe to take them,” officers said. Those who spot vehicles transporting off-road bikes to the area are also asked to note down registration details where possible.

Information can be sent directly to PCSO Hannah Taylor at [email protected].

A further meeting is expected in the coming weeks as efforts continue to tackle the issue.
